Job Description
We are searching for a Process Engineer with experience and education in biopharmaceutical processing or a related field. This role involves leveraging foundational knowledge in scientific and engineering principles to provide technological input for the development, scale-up, validation, and transfer of manufacturing processes. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key technical role in the transfer, development, and continuous improvement of biologics manufacturing processes. Collaboration across departments is essential to ensure successful clinical and commercial production, all while maintaining compliance with GMP standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide technological input in the development, scale-up, validation, and transfer of manufacturing processes.
- Act as a key technical contributor in the transfer, development, and continuous improvement of biologics manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure successful clinical and commercial production.
- Maintain compliance with GMP standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related scientific field.
- 3 years of experience in GMP-regulated biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements (US/EU).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with statistical methods for process analysis.
- Experience with upstream and downstream processing.
- Knowledge of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) principles.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians.
The role requires gowning into ISO spaces, involving the removal of earrings, cosmetics, hair products, etc., at least once a week. The work involves collaborating closely with clients.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $47.00/hr.
