Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platforms team, you will help build and maintain our cloud-based data foundation, which will provide the building blocks for self-service data and analytics solutions across the firm. This cross-functional role requires collaboration with the business as well as other engineering teams. As a senior member of the IT Solutions department, you will also lead design and code reviews, and support and mentor other team members. You will partner with members of NISA's business departments to understand requirements, and design and refine solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems
- Minimum of five years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade solutions
- Experience with the modernization of operational and analytical data utilizing disparate platforms, i.e., SQL Server, Postgres, Databricks, Snowflakes etc.
- Experience developing with an object-oriented language, such as C# or Java
- Experience developing cloud native solutions, preferably in AWS and Databricks
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise setting
- Interest in working with modern technologies, including containerization, etc.
- Experience developing in Python
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data concepts
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks
- Previous professional experience in financial services sector
- Experience developing in a statistical language, such as MATLAB or R
