Job Description
Join our team to work with Chiller and Controls products, ranging from 150 to 550 TONS, and determine all aspects of unit performance. You will be responsible for performance testing, creating accurate test reports, and ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety investigations.
- Assist Technical Support with site visits and customer end-of-line witness tests.
- Participate in noise tests.
- Engage in quality investigations and structured problem solving using tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate with other departments for problem-solving investigations.
- Conduct pressure tests, evacuation, and charging.
- Perform refrigeration performance testing.
- Test electrical components and mechanical/electrical installations.
- Evaluate testing design at required waterflows and pressure drops.
- Build test rigs and assist with test plans.
- Mechanical and hand tool proficiency.
- HVAC and HVAC electrical knowledge.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Refrigeration expertise.
- Experience with Chiller and Controls products.
- Mechanical assembly skills.
- Proficiency with power tools and tape measure.
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Computer and report writing skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
- Previous test experience.
- Knowledge of Refrigeration and HVAC product testing preferred.
- Carel Controls knowledge is vital.
- Flexibility and availability for overtime (can be at short notice).
- Good communication skills.
- Capability to liaise with both office and shop floor personnel/departments.
- Ability to achieve project targets on time.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large plant environment that is non-temperature controlled. Expect to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
