Job Description
This role involves installing a variety of insulation products in commercial, multi-family, and industrial buildings while working closely with a crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. You will measure, cut, and fit insulation materials, operate spray foam equipment and hand tools, and maintain a clean and organized work area in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Install batt insulation, spray foam insulation, and other insulation types according to project specifications and building codes.
- Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials into walls, ceilings, and structural cavities using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate spray foam equipment and standard hand tools safely and correctly, including tape measures, utility knives, stapling guns, and pliers.
- Work on commercial, multi-family, and industrial construction sites in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with company and site safety policies.
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule, supporting team members as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
- Travel with the crew to job sites within approximately a 60-mile radius, with occasional longer-distance projects as needed.
- Meet at the shop each morning to load materials and equipment, then travel with the crew to assigned job sites.
- Demonstrate reliability, ambition, and a strong work ethic by consistently completing assigned tasks and following through on responsibilities.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about job progress, issues, and safety concerns.
- Adhere to company standards for quality, productivity, and professionalism on every project.
- Ability to install batt insulation, spray foam insulation, and other insulation types with attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and fit insulation materials into various structural cavities.
- Basic proficiency using a tape measure, utility knife, stapling gun, and pliers.
- Capability to operate spray foam equipment safely after training.
- Comfort working in construction environments that may be hot, cold, or otherwise not climate controlled.
- Strong work ethic, ambition, and understanding of the importance of completing assigned work to a high standard.
- Willingness to work early shifts, typically starting at 6:00 a.m., and to maintain consistent attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew, follow directions, and support team goals.
- Entry-level candidates welcome, provided they show drive to learn and perform the job.
- Ability to provide references that can speak to reliability, ambition, and overall job performance.
- At least 6 months of experience in the construction field is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.
- Previous experience operating a spray gun is highly valued, including experience as an automotive painter, house painter, or similar spray application roles.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are strongly preferred for those who may drive company vehicles; candidates who can drive and meet driving requirements may receive higher pay.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for projects located beyond the typical 60-mile radius, including overnight stays during the workweek.
- Ability to consistently wear appropriate clothing such as long sleeves, pants, and gloves to protect against contact with insulation materials.
- Openness to working optional weekend hours when additional work is available.

Work Environment
The role is based in new construction environments for commercial, multi-family, and industrial buildings. Work conditions vary depending on the building and season, and job sites are not always climate controlled, which means it may be hot or cold. Employees typically wear long sleeves, pants, and gloves to protect against the itchiness of insulation materials. Standard hours are approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 or 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with optional weekend work available and no cap on voluntary overtime. The crew meets at the shop each morning at 6:00 a.m. to load materials and equipment, then travels together to the job site. Work is generally within a 60-mile radius, but there are occasional projects farther away that may require being away Monday through Friday; in these cases, hotel accommodations are provided, and a daily per diem is offered. Travel time is paid, and if employees return home after 8:00 p.m., they receive an additional daily per diem. The workday includes two paid 15-minute breaks and an optional unpaid 30-minute lunch. The environment is hands-on, physically active, and team-oriented, with regular use of tools such as tape measures, utility knives, stapling guns, pliers, and spray foam equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
