Role Value Proposition:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Linux environment, spanning operations, automation, engineering, and architecture. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be a cornerstone of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is position requires self-initiative and drive, technical acumen to deliver on critical projects and meet commitments.
- Provide expert-level support for Linux-based systems, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand business requirements and contribute to the design, engineering, and architecture of Linux solutions.
- Implement and maintain configurations using YAML code for streamlined deployment and management.
- Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system management, monitoring, and automation.
- Drive automation initiatives using the Ansible Automation Platform to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement robust solutions.
- Continuous skills growth and technical learning.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Linux Engineer, with a focus on both operations and engineering.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining YAML code for configuration management.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management and automation.
- Hands-on experience with the Ansible Automation Platform.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of Linux server architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCSA) or similar certifications.
- Experience with other automation and orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Openshift).
- Experience with other Red Hat technologies - GFS, HA
- Experience integrating Ansible with other infrastructure tools via API.
- Experience with Agile methodology
