Test Technician

Description:

Assist in setting up demonstrations on LCI equipment. Assist test engineer in demonstrations of LCI equipment and test runs for clients. Provide equipment start-up services at client sites, domestic and international. Participates in test center installations, clean-up, modifications, shipping/receiving and maintenance of the test center and all equipment. Provide mechanical and electrical expertise, repair, and maintain test center and lease equipment in optimum operating condition at all times. Equipment includes all thermal separations units/systems, and Granulation equipment/systems. 2. Repair pumps and drive, hydraulic, vacuum systems. Help rebuild lease or test equipment. Clean and maintain thermal separations and Granulation equipment. 3. Participate with TC group to set up test equipment for scheduled client tests. Ensure the test facility, auxiliary equipment, customer office is in excellent shape to receive clients. When necessary assist Test Engineer in running trials, troubleshoot any mechanical problems, participate in client discussions and information exchange in support of the sales effort, clean equipment and test center after trial. 4. Participate with TC group to maintain test center in good order. This includes grounds and building maintenance. 5. Travel to customer facilities and provide lease and equipment support and startup assistance. Travel can be domestic or international, covering LCI’s entire market. 6. Provide general assistance in the LCI office/warehouse as needed. This could include preparation of operation manuals, packaging parts, and other potential work that may arise. 7. All other duties that may be necessary from time to time outside the normal scope of your job description that will contribute toward the Company meeting its goals and objectives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2 year egree preferred. High school diploma with experience or training in mechanical heat and mass transfer systems, energy transfer devices, electric devices, hydraulics and vacuum systems, machine maintenance. 2. Experience required: 1+ years experience preferably in a pilot plant facility or R&D environment. Experience in hazardous waste handling would be a plus. small test center - some lift or forlift for getting the machines out to test, clean, then back up Mechanical seals, vacuum systems, mechanical variators, variable frequency drives, electrical control systems, hot oil systems, compressed air units, carpentry, computer proficiency, good writing and communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs
