Job Title: Quality Investigator
Job Description
The Quality Investigator will perform thorough, detailed, and timely investigations. This role involves developing collaborative relationships with operational leadership and staff across Business Units and Quality representatives to facilitate investigations using continuous improvement techniques. Identifying root causes and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) are essential aspects of this position. The investigator should have experience in Environmental Monitoring and a working knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations. Proficiency in using LIMS or equivalent systems to identify trends and aberrant sample results is required. Prior experience compiling trending data is an advantage. The role requires timely completion of investigations, making recommendations on the disposition of materials, and determining root causes while implementing CAPAs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough, detailed, and timely investigations.
- Develop collaborative relationships with operational leadership and Quality representatives.
- Facilitate investigations using continuous improvement techniques.
- Identify root causes and implement appropriate CAPAs.
- Possess experience in Environmental Monitoring and knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations.
- Use LIMS or equivalent systems to identify trends and aberrant sample results.
- Compile trending data and complete investigations promptly.
- Make recommendations on the disposition of materials based on investigational data.
Essential Skills
- Environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations.
- Root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related life science field.
- 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 1 year of experience writing investigations regularly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with LIMS, Trackwise, and MODA.
- Experience in aseptic manufacturing.
- Experience in microbiology, media fill, particulate, and sterility.
- Understanding of investigation processes and procedures.
Work Environment
The Quality Investigator will have their own desk space with a laptop and will be required to walk around the plant to interview staff, shadow processes, and pull samples and data from relevant individuals. The role demands on-site presence five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, on the 1st shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
