Job Title: Electrical Engineer


Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer where your day-to-day will include providing technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for higher education, healthcare, and other commercial/industrial facilities. You will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule, collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and design team.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.
  • Produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications.
  • Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and design team.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Two-year degree in computer-aided drafting, electrical systems technology, or related technical field.
  • Good technical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and precisely while enjoying variety and change.
  • Capability to work alone and as part of a project team.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree in engineering-related background or Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline.
  • Experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies utilizing SKM software.
  • Experience with drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) is a plus.
  • Strong interest in electrical design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience providing technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

Work Environment

You have the flexibility to work in either the Asheville or Greenville office. The Asheville office has a team of 5 people in the MEP department, while the Greenville office consists of 1 person in the MEP department.
