Support Project Novex and Polymer Labs Operations

Project Overview: Development and scale up of topical skin adhesives, and synthesis of absorbable polymers

Job Description: Preparing and testing liquid formulations and devices, tabulating and communicating results, keep inventory control for raw materials and formulation production.

Prepare and run polymer batches in appropriate reactors, use of pelletizer, dryers, grinders, vacuums, and twin screw extruders. Complete the batch process and submit samples into LIMS for analysis. Prepare the polymer materials and transfer samples to downstream process or storage.



Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BS with 6+ months or AS with 5+ years in chemistry, chemical engineering, or similar.

Industry Experience: Sealants, and/or Adhesives preferred. Silicones preferred

Technical knowledge they must have: Basic lab safety, dispersing fillers, handling high viscosity liquids and thixotropic materials, basic stoichiometry of reactive 1 and 2 component adhesives and sealants

Equipment knowledge/experience: Dual shaft and or Double planetary mixers, speed mixers, Brookfield viscometers, mechanical testers, weight per gallon measurements,

Software experience: Windows, mechanical testing software familiarity

Soft skills: Concise and data driven communications, team player, flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities and learn new skills as needed. Self starter who champions critical improvements to basic laboratory operations
