Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required

•Experience with effective puncture techniques

•Understanding of proper patient identification methods

•Excellent communication skills

•Attention to detail

•Ability to connect with various types of patients (such as children, elderly, pregnant women) and make them feel comfortable

•High school diploma or equivalent

•Previous experience as a phlebotomist

Responsibilities

•Shows proficiency in blood collection and performs tasks in timely and accurate manner

•Receives, greets and assists patients in a timely and courteous manner

•Interacts professionally with physicians and clinic staff to gather relevant information including , billing information and to clarify orders

Pay
