Our client is looking for a Sr Project Manager for a 6 month extendable REMOTE contract. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of project management experience with a PMP certification, with some exposure to Integrations of applications/systems. This person will be working on DigITs (Digital Informatics & Technology Solutions) Integration Platform Enablement project. They currently have IBM Gateway and are looking to start using Kafka Event Streaming. ITIL certification is a plus as well.

• Project Description
o DigITs Integration Platform & Practice enables the clients internal and external platforms, products, applications, and IT components to exchange information using industry-standard integration technologies and techniques. The platform reduces constraints on the institution arising from its current tightly coupled point-to-point system connections. The platform provides a standard, secure, distributed, scalable, and extensible integration foundation supporting the clients evolving business needs while advancing integration technology.
o Define the project scope, maintain the project plan and deliverables, and continuously assess for any changes in the planned work
o Delegate tasks to the necessary team members and evaluate the project needs, including what resources, which vendors, and any other departments must be involved to see a successful outcome
o Assess overall effort, assign tasks, give direction to team members, ensure completion of deliverables, coordinate resources, organize timetables, and keep team members inspired
o Maintain the project schedule and timeline, ensure that each phase of the project remains within budget, and report project progress and results to the stakeholders
o Achieve financial objectives, predict requirements, make an annual budget, forecast expenditures, examine variances, and start corrective action
o Manage and document the project’s progress from start to finish, evaluate each phase of the project and the outcomes
o Manage change control process, recommend strategies, policies, and procedures, evaluate the project outcomes, identify problems, assess trends, and anticipate requirements
o Coordinate quality assurance, conduct system audits of technologies implemented, preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, and information security processes
o Strong people skills, ability to motivate groups of people, confidence to lead them to complete the project on time, and aptitude to maintain a positive environment for innovation
o Established understanding of software development life cycle and project management principles, processes, planning, strategies, and methods
o Strong sense of personal accountability regarding overall goals and supervising cross-functional teams
o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and organization skills with attention to detail
o Resourcefulness, forward-thinking nature, strong negotiation skills, ability to resolve conflicts, and foster an open environment
o Excellent leadership, decision making, analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and ability to quickly become proficient with general and specialized applications used in the organization
