Description:

-Experience with govt agency projects

- background in Estimates focused on Civil/Structural (Architectural is a Plus)

- minimum 5 years of Estimating experience

- Takeoff and price work on Estimates

JOB DESCRIPTION

- perform detailed quantity take offs and pricing for cost estimates for all stages of design

- Take offs, pricing, construction documents, change orders

- Perform on-screen takeoffs for quantity verification against subcontractor bids

- attend meetings with engineers, investors and other agencies involved in projects

- obtain, update and manage accurate pricing information from data base, contractors and suppliers to utilize cost estimates

- work with architects/engineers to develop clear project scope during preparation of estimates and develop relationships

- prepare cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and be able to explain

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- 5 years minimum of estimating in Project & Cost Management

- Excel (Microsoft) for cost accounting, reporting, methods and programs

- Budgets range from minimum $1 million to $200 million

- Must be able to use takeoffs as a reference, no drawings typically done

-Civil & Structural experience (Architectural is a plus)

- government agency experience

- must know stages of design including feasibility studies, master plan estimates, value engineering, cost and bid analysis, change orders and attend project meetings
