Summary
The purpose of the Lead of Global Medical Affairs Oncology is to take the leadership position to shape and implement the overall global medical affairs objectives for DS oncology products. The candidate is expected to take the leading position to drive the development and implementation of global medical affairs strategies for oncology products, with special focus on specific late-stage development phase oncology projects when necessary, as well as taking the key role in building and shaping the Oncology Global Medical Affairs organization.

Responsibilities
- Oncology Medical Strategy: Take the responsibilities to oversee integrated global medical affairs plan for all global Oncology products. Ensure that these plans are meeting the customer needs and aligned with the product development strategies, global brand strategies and regional medical affairs plans, and also developed in manageable budgets.
- Specific Oncology Projects and Franchises: Lead, communicate and execute the development of integrated global medical affairs plan for specific Oncology products and franchises with high priorities. The scope includes key global medical affairs activities such as;
- KOL Engagement: Develop global KOL engagement strategies jointly with the clinical development and regional MA and Global Marketing.
- Scientific Discussion: Enhance scientific discussion with the top experts by conducting global advisory boards and other discussion forum to gain insights from the external experts for the future medical/scientific strategy development.
- Medical Leadership: Provide medical leadership towards the Global Brand Team by providing medical insights to the global brand strategy development and also secure medical accuracy for communications and materials that are relevant for global by conducting scientific review and approvals.
- Medical Communications and Publications: Drive publication planning and medical communication activities in collaboration with GMA Medical Communication members, Clinical Development, Global Marketing, Global HEOR and Regional Medical Affairs.
- LCM: Implement strategies to accelerate company sponsored global non-registration studies and investigator initiated studies (IIS). Be one of the core members for the team designing the Global Life-cycle strategies and global IIS strategies.
- Committees: Lead Specific GMAC (cross-regional MA committee). Core member of Specific Oncology Global Brand Teams (GBT), Oncology Global Project Teams (development, GPT). Ad-hoc member for other Oncology GBTs and GPTs, and other senior committees for Oncology.
- Shaping the Oncology Global Medical Affairs Organization: Take the key role in shaping the Oncology Global Medical Affairs organization optimal for Daiichi Sankyo Group jointly as part of entire MA Division. The scope includes framing of the structure, capability needs and also filling the necessary gaps.
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
- MD required; focus on oncology and/or hematology field strongly preferred
- Expertise on both hematology and solid tumors. preferred
- Experiences in the industry to lead the Global medical affairs team for Oncology products. preferred
- Experiences to be involved in the global launch of oncology products from the planning phase. preferred
- 10 or More Years Hands on experiences in various fields of medical affairs, such as developing scientific strategies, leading scientific exchange meeting with top experts, medical trainings, publications, and clinical operations. required
