Job Title: Product Stewardship & Regulatory Compliance
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and understanding how products affect the environment, health, and safety from manufacturing to the final customer. This role requires strong product stewardship and accountability for maintaining chemical regulatory compliance in the Americas, including Canada, USA, Mexico, and Latin American countries.
Responsibilities
- Complete regulatory reporting requirements in designated regions (e.g., US TSCA, Canadian Environmental Protection Act, emerging schemes in Latin Americas).
- Provide technical expertise for regulatory assessments of new product developments, including country-specific substance notifications.
- Support global team members in meeting local regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitor, summarize, and communicate regional regulatory developments in support of the department’s peer-led Regulatory Network.
- Track, evaluate, and conduct impact analyses of regulatory or substance-led changes, developing compliance strategies and coordinating the timely implementation of action plans.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to determine effective resolutions for regulatory issues.
- Provide regulatory guidance to regional manufacturing plants and support external customer inquiries.
- Support and develop process improvements, SOPs, and implementation of best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Advocate for regulatory compliance and provide internal training where appropriate.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned according to defined functional and business objectives.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years of experience in Product Stewardship/Regulatory experience in chemical manufacturing, food/flavor/fragrance, or medical device industries.
- 5+ years of SDS Authoring experience.
- 5+ years of submissions experience, including PFSA, CalProp 65, and compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Stewardship/Regulatory from the chemical manufacturing industry is nice to have.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days in the office and a flexible schedule. A laptop is provided to support both office and home working environments.
