Job Summary
The Key Customer Advisor is a large industrial and commercial customer facing position directly accountable for relationship growth, customer perception, and the provision of utility services to a portfolio of large customers. Position is available to respond to emergent customer requests 24x7. Portfolio includes large industrial and commercial customers. Position leverages large customer relationships to deliver customer advocacy in support of PSE&G strategic initiatives and regulatory filings. Position serves as a single point of contact for assigned customers and serves as an interface between assigned customers and, meter to cash operating groups, electric and gas operating groups, asset management personnel, legal, regulatory and RES teams. This position provides direct support to electric, gas and customer operating groups during storm events by coordinating communication with large and critical customers.
Position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to resolve complex large customer issues, proactively manage escalated inquiries and interact effectively with customer and company senior leadership.
Position maintains internal relationships with operating departments to effectively advocate for customers as a trusted energy advisor. Position maintains and applies working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meets management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
Position may home base report and/or report to an alternate company location based upon technical proficiency and operating experience of successful candidate and business needs at any given time. Position supports large customers throughout PSE&G service territory.
Position may require reporting to a company and/or customer site a minimum of twice per week or as operational conditions require.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for interacting with large utility customers to facilitate resolution of rate and billing issues, collection issues, interruptible gas and electric, new construction and upgrade of facilities and other utility-related issues.
- Face-to-face promotion and direct sales of technical products and services.
- Support and promote political and regulatory issues of the utility business.
- Maintain contact and interact with corporate executives, energy service companies, consultant engineers, architects, manufacturer representatives and other third parties to assist Industrial & Commercial (I&C) customers.
- Support administrative and professional development requirements.
- Position is available to respond 24/7 on-call responsibilities throughout the year with Electric and Gas Operations supporting Customer Solutions involvement.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma
- At least 7 years' utility operating experience, generation or engineering experience
- Knowledge of Industrial and Commercial account management experience including regulatory and tariff knowledge.
- Must have strong leadership qualities and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently
- Must have valid U.S. driver's license and safe driving history
Desired:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Salesforce
- Certified Energy Manager certification
