Lead Medical Technologist

Immediate lead medical technologist opportunity to oversea multiple technologists and work on the bench, this position requires 5+ years of toxicology experience and be comfortable with administrative side of the laboratory.

Description:

Supervise laboratory of 4 technicians and per diem techs

Complete training for new hires and technicians

Sign off on competency reports for CLIA laboratory and technicians

Complete calibrations of machines

Lot to lot studies

Linearity studies

Prepare laboratory to be inspection ready

Understand CLIA requirements and NJ DOH requirements for labs

Fill out daily logs and refrigerator logs for samples

Quality control tests for result accuracy

90% bench work and 10% supervisor/paperwork

Utilize LCMS to test for validity of sample being from a human and not tampered with. Also will show the volume of a specific drug in a sample

Utilize Advia 1800 for positive and negative results

Csiex 4500 is used as chemistry analyzer

Levey Jennings for QC reports

Use Comtron as LIS

Support volume of 300 toxicology samples per day
