This person will essentially be doing project

evaluation of security platforms and then will be responsible for creating and

monitoring policies around these platforms/tools. We’re looking for someone who

is able to hit the ground running and be able to give recommendations on

overall DLP program development.

 

We are currently seeking to fill a contract

position for a Senior Information Security Engineer within our SOC Engineering

team, which is part of our clients' Technology Information Security organization. This

individual will support and drive the technical evaluation of new products

related to Data Loss Prevention. In the process of evaluating new solutions,

this individual will interface with others within the IT organization, as well

as other internal business units and partners. This resource will create and

maintain functional and technical design specifications and solutions to

satisfy security project requirements.

The Sr Engineer will report to the AVP of Data

Loss Prevention Solutions and will be an involved member of the greater SOC

Engineering team. The individual fulfilling this role must display an in-depth

understanding of new trends and technologies related to IT security and

compliance and contribute to the firms IT security strategy and roadmap.

Essential Functions:

• Provide architecture and engineering support

to our clients' Data Loss Prevention platform across an enterprise environment

• Provide security recommendations on Data Loss

Policies and program development

• Develop and integrate Data Loss Prevention

(DLP) controls across enterprise

• Experience with conducting Proof-of-Concept

evaluations of security solutions, specifically related to new Data Loss

Prevention (DLP) capabilities throughout an enterprise

• Familiarity with Cloud Access Security Broker

(CASB) solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of all elements of

support associated with DLP and CASB platforms. Activities including

integrating with alerting systems, adjusting policies and support regular and

ad-hoc reporting requirements.

• Experience with scripting solutions utilized

to interact with APIs and integrate with existing data providers.

• Continuous pursuit of opportunities to

optimize technology solutions and drive efficiencies.

• Initiate and help establish guidelines and

controls

• Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs),

metrics and business scorecard obligations for ticket handling of security

incidents and events.

• Stay current with industry trends, help drive

security strategy relating to DLP, CASB and Cloud apps making recommendations

as needed to help corporations excel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or

Engineering

• Six (6) years of experience in Information

Security

• 3-5 years’ experience working with DLP, CASB

and Cloud Apps

• 3-5 years’ experience with scripting,

preferred using languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell or Ruby

• 3-5 years’ experience with API-based web

services, REST or SOAP

• Strong awareness of networking and internet

protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks

• Ability to review, recommend and implement

changes to Data Loss Prevention policies to tailor the system to the specific

customer requirements

• Knowledge of intrusion detection systems and

other information security products, regulations, standards, and guideline

• Excellent technical writing and documentation

skills.

• Solid background in security architecture,

including a deep understanding of computer operating systems, virtualization

and containerization technologies, Windows 10, Windows Server (2012 – current),

Linux and cloud technologies

• Track record of acting with integrity, taking

pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating

effectively.
