Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process quotations, requisitions, and purchase orders

- Develop and execute cost reduction strategies, projects, and opportunities

- Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers

- Locate suppliers of materials and components and perform quantitative supplier selection for new products

- Lead supplier dispute resolution for payables discrepancies, warranty claims, and late delivery charges

- Provide continuous, immediate, and effective production line support in the event of supply disruption for any reason. Lead root cause analysis and robust corrective action implementation for such occurrences

- Manage the full purchase agreement process: contract writing, terms negotiating, language refining, executive summarizing, and HQ legal approval

Additional Skills & Qualifications:


- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or engineering

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

- Five plus years purchasing/supply chain experience

- Three plus years manufacturing experience

- Certificate in Project management or subsequent experience

- Highly energetic and success driven

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive and make high level/management presentations

- Experience of cost reduction project leadership within the manufacturing environment

- Proven ability to succeed in the day today management of sustaining, as well as strategic priorities

- Technical knowledge / understanding of the commercial HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously

- Ability to persist and succeed with cross-cultural communication on technical and logistics issues

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills

- Genuine interest and curiosity in global financial and commodity markets

- Experience with commodity markets and commodity management

- Engineering or manufacturing background with strong technical and analytical aptitude

- Quantitative spreadsheet analysis of material cost and financial data

- Product and manufacturing process innovation as a conduit for new cost reduction opportunity

Required Computer Competency:

A strong working competency and ability to expand capabilities continuously and independently with the following computer software applications is required:

- Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access

- PLM, preferably Windchill

- ERP, preferably CHESS (Material requirement planning system)

- SAP experience is a benefit

- Power BI or similar data analytics
