Job Title: Electrical Project Manager


Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager who will oversee and supervise activities related to the planning and monitoring of commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • You will be the lead for pre-construction meetings to ensure a successful handoff from estimating to field operations, manage financial aspects through ongoing job forecasting, and develop budgets for ERP and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-construction meetings to facilitate a seamless transition from estimating to field operations.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the project through ongoing job forecasting.
  • Extract cost and labor hours from job estimates to develop budgets for ERP and timekeeping systems.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules that align with customer timelines and identify electrical installation tasks.
  • Develop purchase orders including pricing, bill of materials, billing requirements, freight requirements, and required dates.
  • Prepare and process submittals per contract documents or customer requirements for review and approval.
  • Develop subcontractor agreements including pricing, scope of work, insurance requirements, schedule, and contract documents.
  • Prepare contract documents such as drawings, specifications, scope of work, and schedules.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical project management and estimation.
  • Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards.
  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, focusing on commercial and industrial large construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar studies preferred.

Work Environment

  • The role is based onsite at the Brockport office.
  • You will be part of a smaller team, consisting of 5-6 office personnel and 20-25 field technicians.
  • The company focuses on middle-range commercial projects, such as hotels and grocery stores, with plans to expand into the Buffalo market.
