Jr. Production Engineer

📍 Location: Bronx, New York City

💰 Salary Range: $80,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)

🕒 Experience Required: 3+ years in GMP-regulated (drug or food) manufacturing environments

Position Overview

As a Junior Production Engineer, you will support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives at our Bronx manufacturing and packaging site. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with a passion for problem-solving, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration in a GMP-regulated environment.


Must-Have Qualifications

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or food industry)
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field)
  3. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
  4. Ability to read technical drawings and understand process documentation
  5. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations Support
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify and address operational issues
    • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process inefficiencies
    • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in Lean Six Sigma and Zero Loss initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
    • Support small-scale improvement projects and track their impact
    • Use tools like Pareto charts and downtime tracking to identify improvement opportunities
  • Technical Support
    • Assist in implementing process changes and equipment upgrades
    • Support validation activities including URS, FAT, IQ/OQ/PQ documentation
    • Ensure compliance with cGMP, OSHA, and environmental regulations
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Contribute to root cause investigations for quality incidents
    • Help develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
    • Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality systems protocols
