RF Engineering Technician

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: 9/80 Work Week (Nine-hour days with alternating Fridays off)

About the Role

Whether you’re a graduate with strong RF fundamentals or a seasoned technician with years of experience, this role offers an exciting opportunity to repair, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic equipment, including RF and microwave components.

You’ll collaborate with production, test, field service, and engineering teams to ensure our equipment meets the highest performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot electronic equipment such as printed circuit boards, multiplexing systems, and amplifiers
• Diagnose operational failures using advanced test equipment
• Reconstruct or replace defective parts and adjust mechanical components
• Review engineering change notices and apply updates to equipment design
• Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment to precise specifications
• Apply coatings or paint to components as needed
• Test equipment to ensure compliance with documented performance standards
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in a computer database
• Provide technical support during product investigations
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Strong understanding of RF and microwave principles
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components
• Comfortable using hand tools and working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing circuits and RF systems
• Knowledge of engineering documentation and change notices
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles

This is a Permanent position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
