Strategic Sales Technology Specialist
Position Profile
The Strategic Senior Technology Specialist executes the core equipment and basic services strategy within assigned accounts, partnering closely with the Client Executive across Strategic and Enterprise Accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with the Client Executive to implement equipment and basic services strategies within assigned accounts.
- Independently lead customer engagements, conduct meetings, and develop opportunities by leveraging subject matter experts and other resources to position, propose, and close deals.
- Efficiently qualify opportunities and prepare proposals that meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Effectively craft and position the full Ricoh portfolio.
- Assess solution fit and affordability for the customer.
- Lead pricing strategy, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Propose, sell, and deliver profitable core equipment and basic services.
- Collaborate with matrix teams to ensure high-quality deliverables for clients.
- Build trust, confidence, and influence with clients through effective collaboration.
- Clearly articulate Ricoh's industry position and value proposition to clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience selling into Fortune 5000 organizations.
- Proven consultative selling skills.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills.
- Deep understanding of customer approval and internal business processes.
- Knowledge of selling service annuities and effectively using change orders.
- Demonstrated success using collaboration to build influence.
- Strong understanding of core product and services portfolio.
- Ability to independently develop and deliver compelling value propositions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to stay current with market trends.
- IT-savvy with understanding of enterprise architectures.
- Strong learning agility.
- Typical office environment with appropriate lighting, ventilation, and standard levels of temperature and noise.
- Work assignments vary and may require interpreting, understanding, and applying complex materials and data, as well as preparing and conveying diverse information.
- Minimal physical effort; work is mostly sedentary but may include walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs (e.g., files, documents, small parts).
- Moderate manual dexterity required, including regular use of calculators, keyboards, tools, and hand-eye coordination.
- Travel required (approximately 30%), which may include overnight travel.
