Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Aseptic Pharmaceutical Technician to perform all necessary procedures for filling sterile products and maintaining the cleanliness of the aseptic process area. This role involves preparing components for use in sterile filling and operating various equipment such as filling machines, vial washers, and autoclaves following standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform all procedures and processes for the filling of sterile products and ensure the cleanliness of the aseptic process area.
- Prepare components for use in sterile filling.
- Set up and operate equipment, such as filling machines, powder recovery systems, vial washers, and parts assembly pre-sterilization.
- Employ aseptic technique while working in a clean room/ISO rated environment.
- Clean and sanitize walls, equipment, and floors following SOPs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Operate equipment such as turntables, filling machines, sterilizing tunnels, vial washers, and conveyors to complete operations per SOP.
- Operate autoclaves to steam sterilize components and machine parts.
- Obtain appropriate components per documentation and handle per SOPs.
- Participate in training programs to maintain qualification status to work in aseptic areas.
- May qualify for Quality Control environmental monitoring tasks.
- Interact with other technicians to learn processes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile processing.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Strong mechanical inclination and self-starter attitude.
- Attention to detail and availability for overtime or additional work days.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree in Sciences or equivalent preferred.
- One to three years of experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
Work Environment
This position involves working in a clean room environment with 3rd shift hours from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., offering a 15% pay differential. Candidates must be flexible for additional work days or hours. Initial orientation and training will take place during 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
