Description:

This position will provide airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) engineering for performing analysis and making recommendations for the Next Generation U-2 Electro-Optical/Hyperspectral Sensor.


  • Define system specifications, input/output processes, parameters to meet business requirements, and hardware/software compatibility
  • Assist with fact-finding and research as required for the project
  • Design test and evaluation requirements based on research and analysis
  • Review system interface documentation and technical specifications
  • Interface with all levels of management and personnel and provide acquisition technical and management expertise
  • Integrate technology with operational requirements to improve weapons system capability and supportability
  • Assist in the designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of test and evaluation programs (including any applicable FAA and airworthiness certifications and procedures) to assess the performance of aeronautical systems, subsystems, and equipment, as they progress through the various acquisition phases/milestones
  • Maintain and submit the full range of test and test-related documentation for adequacy, specification/ performance requirement compliance, conformity with mandatory guidance, and providing recommendations as necessary for improvement
  • Evaluate program technical risk, establish risk mitigation plans, and participate in and/or support oversight of program technical risk reduction efforts as related to test and evaluation
  • Maintaining and submitting annual Program Introduction Documents (PID) to test organizations and review and provide feedback on Statement of Capability (SOC) delivered by test organizations for support of GEOINT testing
  • Support AF acquisition management, C4ISR systems, and systems integration management experience solving organizational, communications and program execution issues

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Must possess one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (12 years preferred), 5 years of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience (15 years preferred), 5 years of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, a minimum of 18 years of directly related experience (20 years preferred) in lieu of a degree, 8 years of which must be in the DoD
  • Knowledge of GEOINT modalities such as Radar, Electro-Optical, Hyperspectral, LIDAR
  • Experience with integrated test teams
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating various types of programs
