Manufacturing Engineer

Actalent is looking for an engineer to add to our team for a client on the east side of Cleveland!

Description:

• Prepare estimates and quotes for customers based on detailed drawings and specifications.
• Develop manufacturing processes for CNC Mills and CNC Lathes as well as assembly.
• Cost accounting principles such as labor rates, burden rates, and profit margins.
• Purchasing costs (raw material, outside processing, etc.).
• CAD/CAM programming/drafting of all new Customer parts for Production, including updating new revisions as received from Customers.
• Adherence to the policies and procedures of the AS9100 guidelines through the use of the Quality Manual and the Quality Management Software.
• Operate production equipment when appropriately needed and as trained
• Perform Fixture and Tool Design
• Ability to understand Solid Models, and utilize viewing software to actively quote and verify part geometry.
• Collaborate with sales team to meet customer specific and internal objectives.

 MUST HAVES:

• 3+ years of Engineering Estimating experience
• Understanding of manufacturing principals, horizontal/vertical mills
• Solidworks/CAD/CAM – Drafting Experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• GD&T knowledge
• ERP experience
• Customer interfacing skills
• Experience with product life cycle/seeing project through completion

NICE TO HAVES:

• Mazatrol CNC Programming software
• CADCAM programming software a plus, but not required.
• CMM measuring software
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in manual screw machines and CNC Lathes
• Job Shop environment
