Currently hiring a long term opening as a Entry Level Microbiology Lab Technician in a Food Science Laboratory. This is in an entry-level role with a ton of growth opportunities. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Microbiology.


The openings are on a first shift.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs sample preparation and provides general support in the analysis of samples.
  • Performs basic and advanced sample preparation and may also perform basic sample analyses.
  • Coordinates the priority organization and flow of samples and/or materials.
  • Gains full knowledge with respect to performing analytical procedures and related quality control techniques.
  • Employs proper laboratory techniques to minimize risk of mislabeling, sample mix-up, and cross-contamination between samples and other materials.
  • Participates in resolving analytical and process problems. Maintains training records and relevant qualifications.
  • Understands analysis procedures and problem-solves issues.


Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry.
  • 0-2 years of lab experience
