Controls Engineer

Job Description

- Programming automated equipment from scratch or updating existing programming

- Programming HMIs

- Design and upkeep of existing plant electrical systems and schematics in AutoCAD

- Programming Allen Bradley PLC code

- Working out on the floor doing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of the automated equipment

- Working on the automated equipment during shut-downs

- Project management, working with maintenance and other cross functional engineering teams to set and manage deadlines and delivery dates

- 50% of the time will be spent on the shop floor troubleshooting electrical issues with maintenance, 50% of the time will be spent in office updating or creating PLC/HMI codes and performing electrical design in AutoCAD

- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic machinery

MUST HAVE:

- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a similar field

- 10 years of relevant experience

- Significant recent Allen Bradley programming experience in either RSLogix500 or RSLogix5000

- Experience working in a heavy industrial environment

- HMI programming experience

- AutoCAD or other electrical design software

- Experience with 480v motors and other industrial power systems

PLUS:

- AutoCAD experience

- Bachelors degree in a related field

- FactoryTalk View ME
