Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and deploying External Model Update (XMU) to AEP's three footprints. Those XMU are to be completed recurrently.

1. Maintain seven (7) external EMS model while updating ICCP points in OSI System. Related work includes API-driven modeling in CIMSPY, model tweaking in CIMSTUDIO and model deployment in OSI Monarch.

2. Update ICCP points for external EMS model. Related work includes developing ICCP mapping to SCADA points and derive incremental ICCP files to be submitted to ISO.

3. Teak and enhance model management process when necessary. Related work includes updating existing python /C++ scripts, customizing CIMSPY configurations and developing new C++ modules to realize new functions in CIMLab.

Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in electric engineering with focus on power system

2. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications

3. Proficiency in Python, C++ and CIM\XML language

4. Good communication skills to initiate and lead cross-department work on projects

5. Willingness to work over time when necessary (maximum 5 hours per week)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred skillsets

1. Experience in maintaining EMS online solutions including online state estimator and real-time contingency analysis.

2. Experience in using CIMSPY and OSI Monarch

3. Advanced degree in electric engineering

4. Location at Central Ohio Area strongly preferred

Work Environment

• M-F No Travel expected
• Expected OT up to 5 hours each week.
• Job designation is Remote
• One week in office training required
