R&D Lab Technician

Description:

Support R&D department which focuses on NPD, cost, quality, supply assurance and operations support for our Auto care brands

Work within the R&D lab environment- testing new products – chemicals & components

Perform tests on components/chemicals as per the test plan provided by R&D engineers.

Follow Standard Operating procedure (SOPs) & JSAs while conducting lab tests

Occasionally working with compressed air, nitrogen and some aerosol products

Adequately follow safety requirements and policies

Conduct product quality checks by taking samples from production as per sampling plan provided by R&D technical staff.

Help to ensure lab equipment and materials are organized and help with drafting of SOP/JSA.

Data entry and update of the formulation information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or pursuing a 4 year degree

Experience working within a lab environment

Proficient with utilizing lab tools and equipment

Ability to manage multiple projects at once

Ability to follow SOP efficiently

Strong organizational skills (multi-task)

Critical thinking skills

Initiative and follow through

Quick learner

Proficient in using computers for data entry, preparing reports

Good communication skills

Maintain cross functional contacts to get tasks done (QC, operations, facilities, EHS, shipping and transportation)

Open to entry level or experienced candidates.
