Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Description
We are currently hiring for a Human Resources Generalist to support our client in Tulsa, OK. The HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department. Duties will include recruiting and onboarding staff, handling payroll, benefits, leave, and enforcing company practices and policies. This position is an in-office role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll, 401k contributions, and payroll journal entries.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into complex employee issues or conflicts, facilitating timely resolutions.
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Facilitate training sessions as needed.
- Administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, employee retention, and morale.
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook.
Hard Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal labor laws and legislation
- Proficiency in using social media for recruiting purposes
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies
- Experience in Talent Acquisition
- Payroll processing through Paychex

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Work Environment
This position is an in-office role, Monday to Friday. The team has a great culture of local employees, many of whom have been with the company for 10+ years. The environment thrives on communication and collaboration. This position will have assistance and support from other team members but will be the sole functioning HR representative.
