About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of pools, spas and fountains on a dynamic campus in Beaverton, Oregon. This hands-on role includes chemical use and testing, pump and equipment maintenance, pool plumbing, and other facility equipment, responding to service requests, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Your technical skills and attention to detail will help deliver reliable building operations and support a safe, comfortable environment for occupants.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across buildings, equipment, and campus grounds, with a primary focus on maintaining pools, spas, fountains, and other water features.
- Monitor, test, and adjust water chemistry using automated systems and specialized equipment to ensure optimal water quality and safety compliance.
- Assist in tracking building system operations and performance while working under close supervision.
- Safely perform work in confined spaces when required, following all established safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Apply a variety of technical trade skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies related to building operations.
- Execute daily maintenance tasks, including routine, preventive, and emergency repairs, and accurately document all work performed.
- Review work orders, estimate time and materials needed, and procure necessary supplies to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Support troubleshooting and repairs of building systems and equipment, including mechanical, plumbing, kitchen, fitness, roofing, and drainage systems.
- Inspect new installations and repairs to confirm compliance with codes, specifications, and safety standards.
- Maintain lighting systems throughout campus, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and coordinate additional support when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support campus operations and facility excellence.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification, in lieu of, willingness to get CPO certification within the first 30-days of employment.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company's fleet vehicle policy
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
