Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Designer to work on a variety of projects, primarily within the industrial and advanced facility sectors. The role involves designing mechanical and process systems, ranging from simple to complex, including semiconductor manufacturing plants, tool installation design, facility wet side design process piping, exhaust systems, and hydronic systems. The Piping Designer will collaborate closely with the design team, incorporating inputs from both mechanical and other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex piping systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD, CADWorx, and REVIT to create detailed piping layouts, isometrics, and construction drawings.
- Leverage 3D modeling capabilities within AutoCAD & REVIT to visualize and optimize piping designs, ensuring efficient layout and space utilization.
- Create and update Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for Advanced facilities, incorporating equipment, piping, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Coordinate with design team members across various disciplines.
- Travel to off-site locations and/or accept client site assignments when necessary.
- Direct industry work experience in piping design within industrial and advanced facility construction projects.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and/or Plant 3D or REVIT.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Knowledge of PIPE-FLO is preferred.
- Encouragement to obtain professional licensure in respective fields of engineering.
- Occasional local travel for site walk downs and client meetings.
The position involves working on multiple projects ranging from heavy industrial, high-tech, semiconductor, and commercial sectors. The work will primarily be based in the Beaverton office with the potential for hybrid/remote work depending on the candidate's level of experience. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BEAVERTON, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
