Job Title: Contract Analyst
Job Description
This is a key position within the Polymer Seals and UK composites division of a large multi-billion matrix corporation. The Contract Analyst will be responsible for leading the contract analysis, negotiation, execution, and life-cycle management of complex civil and military contracts for manufacturing business within the aerospace supply chain. The role consistently applies commercial knowledge and acumen for process improvement and implementation, improving the commercial capabilities of the business. A strong working knowledge of trade/export compliance regulations and experience with US Government contracting regulations (FAR and DFAR) is essential.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and negotiate bids, sales, etc., which constitutes 30% of the role.
- Ensure compliance, which makes up another 30% of the responsibilities.
- Manage contracts, constituting 30% of the role.
- Drive functional improvement in tools and processes, making up 10% of responsibilities.
- Manage the full life cycle of commercial contracts with customers and work to ensure long-term contract financial performance aligns with expectations.
Essential Skills
- Experience in B2B Contract Management/Contract Analysis within a highly regulated business environment (5+ years).
- A proven track record of negotiating high-value, highly complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to analyze financial risk, liability, and limitations with expertise in financial analysis and business analysis.
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office software.
- ITAR eligible.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree.
- Law certificates (LLB) are preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of trade/export compliance regulations.
- Experience with US Government contracting regulations (FAR and DFAR).
- Experience working within original equipment manufacturing and aerospace industry segments.
Work Environment
The work environment requires on-site presence Monday to Thursday, following a 4X10 schedule, with occasional overtime on Fridays. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for internal and external interactions. Attention to detail, organizational skills, integrity, and reliability are crucial. The job requires wearing steel-toed shoes due to the location at the site, which are reimbursable up to $125 per year once converted. Dress code is suitable for a manufacturing facility, where jeans are acceptable. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
