1 Month - $500

Top Three Must Haves:

1) Ability to stand and lift 20lbs repetitively

2) Must be open to a union job

3) Open to work ALL shifts (day, swing, grave)

- They will NOT be asked to switch from shift to shift

Position Summary: The Baler position is the "entry level" position at the first job in the Union's "line of progression". Every member of the Union starts in the Baler position and works their way up to the next role with a pay raise. Will start as a Baler and move to the next job (Machine Operator/Tender) after they have proven reliability and work ethic in the Baler role.

Baler Duties:

-Working at the back end of the packaging machine to offload packed bags (looks like a box) and fit them like a puzzle onto a pallet.

-Keep count of boxes per pallet

-Quality check product in boxes versus work order

Machine Tender Duties:

-Operate computers and monitor errors and confirm machine set-ups

-Properly monitor product through the machine and remove defective products

-Keep machine properly cleaned and maintained (lubricate shaft, bearings, gears using grease guns, rags, and brushes)

-Move rolls of paper onto the feeders (push ~100 lbs)
