Job Title: Field Geophysicist/Geologist

Job Description

Actalent is in search of a consultant for the Field Geologist role in Moorestown, NJ. The successful candidate will apply sound engineering or geologic principles, communicate clearly and concisely, and be proficient with Microsoft Office and 2D AutoCAD. The role involves performing basic geophysical field surveys, observing and documenting geotechnical and geologic investigations, and working under the guidance of professional engineers and other staff. The job requires heavy travel and overnight stays in various locations such as Harrisburg, Long Island, West Chester, Delaware, and occasionally NY and Maryland.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, engineering geology, or geological engineering
  • Concentration in Geophysics preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 2D AutoCAD
• Ability to learn and operate company-developed desktop and mobile applications

Soft Skills

• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work under supervision and guidance
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight frequently

Work Environment

The role involves fieldwork with significant travel, some office work for meetings, training, lab testing, and occasional in-office duties. 70% in the field and 30% office work.
