Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will start heavily involved in design to learn the product and will later transition to an engineering role. Responsibilities include designing shelters and mechanical modifications, attending job kick-off meetings, and participating in design reviews. The role also involves reviewing customer requirements, preparing task lists, tracking schedules and budgets, providing technical input to the CAD design team, and approving drawings. Additional duties include interfacing with other departments, creating technical proposals, supporting the Sales department, and resolving vendor issues.

Hard Skills

• Designing shelters and mechanical modifications
• Experience with Auto-CAD and 3-D Modeling Software
• BS degree in a technical or related field
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience
• DoD/Defense experience preferred

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Office and manufacturing environment. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones). Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
