Summary:
The Reliability Lead is responsible for the overall maintenance and asset reliability of a Business Unit or designated LCT lines, and will lead the maintenance strategies in support of the Hershey Lean Production System. This includes the management of the maintenance planning and scheduling processes for the BU or LCT, through work-order backlog (SAP) prioritization and development of the maintenance schedule for BU or LCT mechanic activities. The Reliability Lead will drive the improvement of existing, and creation of new maintenance processes to ensure sustainable asset reliability, including preventative and predictive measures, through the analysis of process and SAP plant maintenance data. This role works closely with the Technical Assurance group to ensure asset management, spare part accuracy, and will also be responsible for driving BU or LCT related maintenance financial efficiencies. The Reliability Lead will also assist in development of the 5-year capital plan for BU assets, and manage some miscellaneous capital projects.
As part of the BU Team, the Reliability Lead is accountable for the daily management systems (DMS) supporting continuous improvement efforts, including defect handling (DH), breakdown elimination (BDE), and root cause analysis (RCA), while supporting equipment centerline (CL) and autonomous maintenance (AM) activities. The Reliability Lead interfaces within the daily shift huddles and direction setting meetings, reporting out on performance metrics and countermeasures. These efforts are led through the engagement of mechanics/operators, providing coaching and development as needed.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operational support, coaching and development
- Review and prioritization of work
- Plan future work: schedule, overhauls
- Strategic activities and HLPS follow up
- Knowledge of reliability methods and practices to maintain asset performance
- Ability to coach and manage others to achieve results, following all safety, quality, and productivity policies and procedures
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis skills
- Proficient with SAP-PM or other CMMS
- Ability to manage and develop both short term and long-term strategies
- Works well within a team, while also able to function independently and take ownership of improvement processes
- 5+ years of maintenance, technical or manufacturing experience
- BS degree in engineering or related discipline, preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and TPM, preferred
