Summary:
The Manager, Materials Management ensures the timely availability of materials required for production and maintains optimal inventory levels. This role is pivotal in the supply chain, overseeing materials planning and working in collaboration with procurement, logistics teams, and manufacturing teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials to support the production operation. The Manager, Materials Management is also responsible for leading strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. Role aligned to a specific material type.

The Manager, Materials Management is also responsible for leading strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. Role aligned to a specific material type.
In addition, the Manager, Materials Management will be responsible for:
- Lead and oversee the development of materials requirement plans to ensure timely production availability, mitigating stockout risks.
- Manage operational supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, and resolve supply issues.
- Conduct and oversee data analysis and forecasting to predict material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
- Drive and implement process improvements in materials planning and inventory management, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders, including procurement, production plants, supply planning, and manufacturing, to align on strategic material needs and initiatives.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in ERP systems and advanced inventory management software
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization strategies
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management
- Education: Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Desirable)
- Other Qualifications: Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is a plus. Certification ISM / APICS or working towards (Desirable), demonstrated experience in mentoring
