• SCHEDULE/ENVIRONMENT: HQ is in Toledo but they are in need of someone who can work in Meadville, PA at their customer site. In search of candidates local to Meadville, OH. Fully On-site.

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The candidate will serve as the mechanical engineering site advisor, overseeing the installation of a flat glass manufacturing line for automotive glass. This role requires extensive travel/being local to Meadville, PA (customer site).

- Serve as the mechanical engineering site advisor for the installation of a flat glass manufacturing line for automotive glass.

- Travel 100% of the time to customer sites near Meadville, PA.

- Work daily within Excel to manage project data and documentation.

- Review blueprints and CAD files to ensure designs and installations align with project specifications.

- Oversee the installation of the production line and supervise the work of third-party installation contractors.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during the installation process.

- meet with customer regularly to review and set key project deadlines and milestone

- The advisor would be responsible to review and interpret the existing mechanical drawings, answer questions, make decisions to coordinate with and advise the mechanical contractor regarding the preferred installation method to meet codes and the customer's expectations regarding the ongoing and remaining installation work.

- generating and updating field progress report

 MUST HAVES:

- 5 years of mechanical engineering experience post grad

- experience overseeing the installation of manufacturing lines

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field

- OSHA 30 minimum

NICE TO HAVES:

- glass manufacturing experience

- flat glass or automotive glass experience

- CAD experience with AutoCAD and Inventor
