Job Description
We are seeking an SMT Technician to support our surface mount technology production on the 2nd shift. This role involves operating, monitoring, and performing basic troubleshooting on SMT line equipment to ensure quality output, throughput, and adherence to customer and IPC standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate SMT line equipment.
- Perform first-piece checks and ongoing in-process monitoring to ensure builds meet requirements.
- Monitor machine alarms, correct minor stoppages, and keep the line running efficiently.
- Verify that reflow profiles are selected and running per work instructions as assigned.
- Follow work instructions, travelers/routers, and visual aids to ensure build accuracy.
- Inspect boards for obvious defects such as missing or misaligned components, solder issues, polarity, and damage, and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Record production data, downtime, and nonconformance details in applicable systems/logs.
- Strong understanding of electronics, PCB, and manufacturing processes.
- Associate's degree in a technical field or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with SMT line workflow and component handling.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and production travelers.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for logging and documentation.
- Exposure to IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards (certification is a plus).
- Experience in ISO/regulated or high-reliability environments.
This is a 2nd shift position with working hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
