Job Title: Hardware Harness Technician


Job Description

Join our dynamic Manufacturing Team as a Hardware Technician, where you will be instrumental in building self-driving vehicles. This role encompasses vehicle build, sub-assembly, integrated modules, and harness assembly, all while adhering to manufacturing documentation standards and safety protocols. You will work within a Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) and meet internal deadlines with limited oversight, while continuously seeking educational and development opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Participate in vehicle build, sub-assembly, integrated modules, and harness assembly.
  • Follow and implement manufacturing documentation standards.
  • Adhere to safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
  • Work within Aurora’s Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Operate independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Pursue continuing education and development opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • 0-2 years of experience for entry-level technicians.
  • 2 to 7 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, development, or production spaces.
  • Technical trade school or educational equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO-9001 or standardized process environments.
  • Experience with Jira, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and documentation practices.
  • Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong electrical skills with the ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, and assemble wiring harnesses.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • IPC training and certification, or equivalent experience.
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721 certifications.
  • GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing certification).
  • Production workshop experience.
  • Automotive and trucking mechanical experience and/or qualifications.
  • 6+ years of harness fabrication experience.
  • IPC 620 Certified, either current or expired.
  • Automotive, truck, or industrial/commercial electronics experience.

Work Environment

This position requires 100% on-site presence. You will work in a production environment with lunch provided.
