1st shift: 6a - 2:30p Mon - Fri (Occasional Saturdays could be required)

Pay Rate: $20-23/hr

Also have openings for more general MIG welders that don't the extent of experience and skill required as below. Those would be 1st shift as well, pay range is $17-20/hr.


Individual will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to produce products to complete specific military projects.


These functions constitute essential functions for the job position that the employee must be able to fulfill, with or without accommodation. The following list is not exhaustive. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned and are to be considered a required part of the job.

  • Communication
  • Follow necessary MGS and customer-specific procedures and work instructions.
  • Read complex paperwork/drawings or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and process for fabrication.
  • Instruct team members on job procedures as needed.
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities as required by the Quality System
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and complete Quality and Process documentation
  • Production
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit components together while maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts, using, MIG welding and cutting (plasma and torch), equipment.
  • Assemble parts by bolting and riveting, when necessary.
  • Rework products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Move between production assignments that utilize multiple skill endorsements as needed to support production requirements
  • Safely operate forklifts, tractors or electric hoists to move product, when necessary.
  • General
  • Follow safety guidelines and uses all required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance in the production area.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime and to meet schedule demands.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Education and Experience;

• An Associate Degree in a technical area or an 18 month welding certificate program with 5+ years MIG welding experience.


• 9+ years’ experience with GMAW welding process (MIG welding).

• Experience welding various types and gauges of materials to tight tolerances while minimizing distortion.

• Experience working in a tightly controlled production environment.

Endorsements – The work requires the employee to obtain and maintain several endorsements. The following list is not exhaustive. Other endorsements may be needed and are to be considered a required part of the job.

  • Documented successful completion of training in Grinding, Overhead Crane, Forklift, and OSHA 10 hour.
  • Must qualify in the following AWS Code Certifications under multiple WPS’ as required by program guidelines.
  • AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code-Steel
  • AWS D1.2 – Structural Welding Code-Aluminum
  • AWS D1.3 – Structural Welding Code-Sheet Steel
  • AWS D9.1 – Sheet Metal Welding Code

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs.
