Customer Service Representative-$13.50
The job description is split up into two parts, what the candidates will be doing month 1 and what they will do after that: Inbound calls from agents, claimants and insured. They are trained first on new claim calls.
1st – new claim calls. It’s scripted. Verifying insurance, going through a questionnaire.
Candidates need to have good spelling and grammar. Whatever they write, will show up in a policy/claim generated form – needs to be accurate.
After about a month:
2nd – they will be working on billing calls. When they are issuing a policy, the premium is a guestimate. They go through the basic information and then pass to the call to the audit department. They sometimes owe us money, sometimes the premiums need to be adjusted. Sometimes the insured wants an update or to talk to the adjuster in certain situations.
You are married to your phone in this position, call after call. But there are quality checks but no handle time monitoring.
Training – Will be done in stages to learn all departments.
Initially will start in claims to gain a better understanding of the insurance
terms, computer systems and phone systems. Training will be a 9:30 - 6PM
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Three different types of qualifications for the right candidate.
1. Bachelor’s Degree, no additional experience required.
2. High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in a call center environment.
3. High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in a retail sales position.
Soft skills - inner burn to succeed, go getter mentality, someone who is appreciative of their work environment.
Their call center is open 8a – 7:30pm Varying shifts, no weekends. Will mostly be later shift 11a-7:30 pm but have earlier shifts as well for top candidates
Great working environment, not cutthroat. No selling, no up-selling.
Will start off remote other than training but will be required to go in 2 days a week starting June 14th. With expectations that they will be onsite moving forward with a flex schedule with at least 1-2 days at home.
