IT Product Manager – Catalog and Product Information Systems 

Our IT team designs, develops and integrates technology solutions aimed at streamlining operations, driving innovation and advancing business results. The IT Product Manager is an integral part of the team, facilitating development and analysis of quality IT solutions and data management. Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between business and technology teams and guiding the development of IT solutions from product planning through launch and postproduction in the following areas: 

Catalogs and Catalog Data covering Creation, Onboard and Author, involving multiple sources and partners; includes OE, AM, SVG, Fluids, Labor & Maintenance, Collision  

Catalog Operation and Offerings (P&A) including interchange and matrix 

Product Systems and Data including PIM System, OE data, Digital Assets, Attributes, Product Build, Management and Sourcing, Consolidation 

 

Responsibilities: 

Software Product Strategy and Roadmap:   Develop product strategy roadmaps for assigned information systems.  Outline what success looks like and ensure initiatives are aligned with WORLDPAC’s overall business objectives, priorities, and market demands. Lead steering efforts and define vision and direction.  

 

Requirements Gathering:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, subject matter experts and developers to gather and analyze user requirements and translate them to actionable product specifications. Discover what users/customers need and articulate how features will provide value to the business/users (Define What and Why). 

 

Product Development and Delivery:  Work with technical owners throughout the development lifecycle, helping to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancements. Work closely with QA/QE teams for effective quality testing. Monitor progress and initiate corrective action as needed to meet project milestones. 

 

Data Management: Implement effective data governance processes to ensure accurate and update-to-date product and catalog information and associated data exchanges with internal and external systems. Stay informed about industry data and other technology standards. 

 

Performance and User Experience (UX) Optimization: Monitor UX feedback seeking to enhance user experience and efficiency and ensuring that software products meet the needs of users. As appropriate, establish KPIs to utilize data analytics and measurements to measure performance and success of systems. 

 

Stakeholder Communications: Communicate product updates, progress, schedules, challenges and risks to stakeholders including management, IT teams and business units. 

 

Collaboration with Development Teams and Processing Project Work:  Author Work Items/Issues (Initiatives, Epics, Stories) and prioritize backlog in collaboration with Technical App Owners.  Monitor and edit work items and lead planning, review or status-related ceremonies. Analyze the user/business/customer wants and needs, and work with Technical Application Owners that ensure product development is following the product roadmap. Define what is to be built or adapted, as the Technical Application Owner ensures the development team accomplishes those objectives.  Both roles are expected to be expert on the product and the user/customer.  Both are responsible for the business success of the product.   

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields, or equivalent work experience 

Solid understanding of automotive product and catalog data and industry specific challenges 

Analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions 

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills 

Demonstrated project management abilities and knowledge of Agile methodologies 

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience with Jira,  Confluence, flowcharts (Lucidcharts)

Understanding of Database and complex data concepts

Experience with IBMi Db2 query tools and SQL statements

Experience with Autocare data standards (ACES/PIES), XML
