About the role:
As a Welding & Materials Engineering intern, you will support the development and troubleshooting of welding-related requirements. These requirements are for the fabrication, erection, and maintenance of nuclear power plants and associated facilities.
You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at our Rock Hill facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help support issues presented by ANI, Code, and Regulatory bodies, clients, and internal customers
- Review contract, design, and regulatory requirements to develop project welding specifications
- Review fabricator and supplier documentation including weld maps, detail drawings, PQRs and WPSs, and Welding Programs to ensure conformance with project requirements
- Participate in welding-related software development and equipment development projects
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, materials engineering or related discipline with welding emphasis
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Knowledge of welding symbols and the ability to read drawings and prints
- Familiarity with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW welding processes
- Knowledge of ESW, laser welding and automated/robotic welding processes
- Interpret and understand applicable standards and regulations
