Our client is looking to add a 3D Generalist to their team. This individual will spend 10-15% of their day applying materials, 20% lighting, and 10% rigging and setting up different camera angles. They will be supporting the three different product brands. Currently this role will be spending about 50% of their time supporting projects around product photography, they will work on internal parts of the products that will be used for shoots. The day to day will involve modeling and will eventually get more into environmental work and putting the products into it (environments will be a mix of new indoor and outdoor).

Additional description:

1. Creates photo-realistic architectural/environmental renderings using 3D software and incorporate Engineering CAD product files as directed by Marketing, Design, and Project Management.

2. Work with Sr. Digital Imaging Manager and Traffic Coordinator to get correct CAD files from Engineering or CCI.

3. Maintain a library of texture maps, models and environments for use in product renderings.

4. Work to manipulate and convert CAD files as needed to get them formatted to use with Cinema 4D software.

5. Exhibit design sensitivity and technical skills in material creation, texture mapping, lighting and scene set-up

6. Skin / Texture and Light CAD files to create photo realistic 3D product renders for use on packaging, print collateral, and web projects.

7. Collaborate with designers, 3D modelers, and video animators to continually evaluate workflow of 3D projects.

8. Continue education in 3D field to stay on top of ever-changing industry standards.


- UV fundamentals

- Well versed in Lighting Techniques

- Well versed in modeling techniques with a non-destructive workflow

- Understands texture conservation

- Strength using Photoshop

- Strength in Cinema 4D

- High Level understanding in Hard Surface Modeling

- High Level understanding in Organic Modeling

- Effectively communicate and collaborate with your team, directors, and production leads

- Work with art leads to investigate and prototype emerging technologies and improved workflows

- Create and refine detailed photo-realistic props

- Need someone who can apply materials and manage that work flow

Ideal Skills & Qualifications:

1. Cinema 4D (or a similar tool like Maya)

2. ZBrush

3. Redshift - they use this to apply materials

4. Substance Painter/Designer

5. Adobe Photoshop
