Data Entry Specialist

This person will be responsible for reviewing purchase orders and entering relevant information or notes (i.e. if an order needs to be expedited) into system (i.e. dates) most of the information comes through via email Specialist will handle large amounts of information – usually 60 to 100 emails per day per person. Each Expeditor is assigned a certain number of suppliers (200-300 suppliers) Might also have to periodically reach out to suppliers to verify PO information or dig in on short shipments (i.e. something was shipped but not received) will work with warehouse to enter cases Will be opening spreadsheets and handing two screens (this will not be fast paced – attention to detail and accuracy is important) Reviews and monitors PO Expedite Reports, vendor acknowledgements and PO shipping status requests from the sales and purchasing departments. Proactively communicates with vendors to obtain the best possible ship dates for each item requested. Follows up on shipping status requests within required response times Seeks resolution for discrepancies in vendor ship date, quantity, costs or other concerns. Maintains up-to-date documentation within the system for acknowledged ship dates, tracking and vendor contact details. Coordinates with vendors and the accounting department to ensure timely receipt of invoices.
