Seeking a Civil Engineer- EIT in the Nashville, TN area!

Job Description:

Our client is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm providing clients with comprehensive design and engineering expertise.

Seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our team on a wide range of projects for public and private clients. Project tasks include the design of roadways, stormwater systems, sanitary sewer and potable water systems, and erosion prevention and sediment control measures. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently while ensuring attention to detail. In this role, client interaction occurs regularly, and excellent communication skills are required.

EIT Responsibilities and Duties:

• Residential and commercial site development design, roadway design, storm water calculations, design reports, and cost estimates
• Site analysis and preliminary studies, design calculations and reports, development of construction plans and specifications, cost estimations and permit applications.
• Work collectively with a project team
• Express strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capability to learn and appreciate feedback and performance evaluations

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification required, close to PE is a plus
• 2-4+ years of relevant experience
• Experienced in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, Hydraflow, Pondpack, and other software packages
• Capable of using Microsoft Office suite with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to solve problems
• Excellent time management skills
