MUST BE VACCINATED OR BE WILLING TO GET VACCINATED BEFORE 10/31 Candidates will be polishing and buffing down ball valves to ensure the proper coating and finish. They will be using scrubbing and polishing tools to clean and prepare the valves. They will be using micrometers and calipers to verify the dimensions throughout the whole process. This will be a labor intensive job where they will be standing for up to 12 hour shifts and lifting items up to 50 lbs. From Client: Lap I (2 openings) 2nd shift 17/hr base plus differential when working nights Temp Position Only. Maybe 2 months or more Requiring at least 1 to 2 years of mechanical experience (mechanically inclined) It is an entry level type position but will train Must be able to stand for long periods or sit for long periods of time Will work 8 hours up to 12 hours per day, depending on workload Must be wiling to work weekends 2-2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) Mon-Fri and most Saturdays AND SUNDAYS. They will be working almost every weekend when needed. They will be training on 1st shift (6am-4:30pm) for 2-3 weeks. Pay is $17/hr but gives a $3/hr shift diff. These position is OPEN ENDED CONTRACT for about 6 months but could turn into permanent as well. Please make sure they know this is a CONTRACT position.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Candidate must have at least 3 years in manufacturing experience and they would like for them to have experience in using micrometers and calipers. Someone with a machinist or QC background will be good but also assembly. Anyone that has worked directly with measurement tools and standing for extended periods of time is ideal. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS INCLUDING SUNDAY.
