• Works under direct, close supervision

• Taking calls regarding Life Insurance Claims, Death Claims (collecting information from the caller, providing empathy, and updates on current policies, etc)

• Able to read and comprehend (non-scripted calls) policies

• Working on multiple computer screens with dual monitors

• Successfully completes Life/Health Response Center training

• Develops knowledge of State Farm and the department's workflow, procedures, and products

• Develops knowledge of required systems and tools utilized

• Provides application and policy status, life claims status, services beneficiary maintenance and answers lower complex billing and policy questions

• Identifies form requirements, medical requirements, assists with new business/change of plan processes and policy maintenance

• Identifies need to escalate for specialized activity

• Follow process guidelines to service new and existing policies

• Responsible for working primarily with agency partners and occasionally customers and 3rd party vendors by communicating outstanding requirement of documents or forms

• Identifies, researches, and responds to questions/issues related to life insurance policies

• Uses multiple applications to gather the necessary information and notify business partners regarding status, inquiries and claim reporting


• Answers calls relating to financial services from agents and policyholders

• Processes financial service transactions, including electronic fund transfers, illustrations, values/disbursements, tax questions and premium inquiries

• Processes transactions involving external companies and reinstatement of policies

• Ability to think critically and demonstrate decision making skills through appropriate investigation

• Highly prefer HS Diploma or GED

Testing Requirements:

1. Call Center Audio – score 70% or better

2. 1 minute onscreen typing – 30 wpm or better
